Peer Support Groups open for new members

Managing our mental health and wellbeing can be challenging and at times isolating.  MindOut offers friendly, supportive groups for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Queer people, where you can share your experiences, talk about how you manage and find out what helps others.

Our Peer Support Groups offer spaces to meet and connect with other people with similar life experiences, giving a sense of belonging and community connection.

All MindOut groups are confidential, non-judgmental, independent from other services, free of charge and run by experienced LGBTQ mental health workers.  We are currently running our groups online via Zoom, as well as offering small face to face groups.

Wellbeing Themed Peer Support Groups (Zoom and face-to-face).  Every Thursday 4-5.30pm

Our Thursday themed Peer Support Group is an opportunity to share experiences and coping strategies about a range of topics e.g. managing isolation and loneliness, managing Covid-19 restrictions, suicidal thoughts, gender identity, getting older, managing on a low income and many other themes that impact on mental health and wellbeing.

There is no commitment to attend the group each week – it’s available as and when you need it.

This group is now meeting both in person in line with Government Covid-19 safety protocols, and via Zoom.  If you’d like to attend either group, please get in touch at [email protected] or on 01273 234839.

Regular weekly Peer Support Groups

These ‘closed’ groups run weekly with the same small group over a 9-week period. This suits people who want to see the same members each week, building a sense of trust and belonging within the group. The groups are themed for members with more specific shared experiences.  These groups are open to new members for the period starting 30th November.
