Following Lama Rod’s visit to Brighton in April, BodhiTree’s LGBTQ Meditation Group and MindOut are hosting another evening of discussion and practice with Lama Rod Owens.
Lama Rod is one of the leaders of a new generation of Buddhist teachers in the US. As a Black, queer male, he understands our often conflicting identities. He describes himself as “a formally trained Buddhist teacher working to be as open, honest and vulnerable as possible and help others do the same. Because on the other side of fear is liberation.” Lama Rod has co-authored the book Radical Dharma: Talking Race, Love, and Liberation.
